Payment & Secure Store

Shopping at our online store is 100% safe - our secure online order center is protected with secure socket layer (SSL) technology. Your credit card information is encrypted so that it cannot be read by anyone else as it is sent over the Internet. Our network provider and secure host is pair Networks.

Under the law, you are not liable for over $50 of unauthorized charges on your card. In the very unlikely event that you are subject to such unauthorized charges, notify your credit card company immediately. If the company holds you accountable for this amount, we will cover the liability for you, up to $50, as long as the unauthorized charges were through no fault of the cardholder while handling a transaction on our secure order pages.

We accept credit card payment with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If you order using a credit card, you'll see the name "Apparent Corporation" on your statement, the name of the processing party. We also accept checks, money orders, and purchase orders (see the Purchase Orders link at our online store for instructions). Sales tax applies to purchases originating in North Carolina, United States of America. Local taxes outside the United States are the responsibility of the recipient.

Physical Media Sales

We offer software available for purchase via digital delivery (we e-mail you a download link and serial number/activation key). We ship software via digital delivery only.

Software Licensing

By purchasing software on our online store, you are purchasing a license to use that software under the terms of the product's Software License Agreement (this will be displayed upon first launch). You must hold a license for each computer the software will be installed on.

Purchasing a Single User License allows you to use the software on a single computer. You may not use a Single User License on more than one machine. Purchasing a Multi-User License (multiple "seats") allows you to use the software on the specified number of computers, regardless of computing platform. Purchasing a Site License allows you to use the software on an unlimited number of computers owned by your organization within a 100-mile radius, regardless of computer platform. Purchasing a Worldwide License allows you to use the software on an unlimited number of computers owned by your organization in an unlimited number of business locations, regardless of computer platform.

Delivery Policies

Apparent Corporation sells software, hardware, and products which consist of both software and hardware. Software purchased online is delivered digitally. Refer to the download link on your purchase receipt for activation instructions.

If you purchase a hardware product with included software, that software can be found in the box only.

Most hardware products are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx (we'll pick the most efficient method for your address) unless you've made other arrangements with us. Orders for hardware and other physical goods are processed upon placement of order and are shipped within 1-6 business days, unless otherwise stated on the receipt or order form. Product color, if applicable, is at our discretion. International shipments, along with orders placed on a corporate/educational purchase order, may take an additional 2-4 days to process. If you have specific shipping and/or delivery requirements, please let us know before ordering so that we may accommodate you.

Return Policies

If you're having trouble with our products, we encourage you to contact us. We take pride in the products we sell, and we want you to be happy with them. If you have questions, please ask -- we're always happy to help!

Here are our official return policies:

Software Purchases - Since software deliverables are delivered instantly over the Internet, all software sales are final. Most of our products have free, downloadable demonstration versions -- we offer these trial versions so that you may test the software to see if it meets your needs before purchase.

Hardware Purchases -

Apparent carries a 30-day same product exchange policy for defective hardware products. Unopened packages (the package that the product is shipped in) may be returned with no restocking fee within 10 days of receipt. Please contact our technical support department to request an authorization number (RMA). All other sales are final.

No product returns or exchanges will be accepted without an Apparent Corporation issued authorization number (RMA) -- shipments without an authorization number printed clearly on the address label will be refused. Please ship your product via a method that provides a tracking number and a signature upon delivery. If an Apparent representative does not sign accepting receipt of a package, Apparent accepts no liability for your package or any lost product. If you send a purchased product to Apparent without following these guidelines, Apparent retains the sole right to refuse delivery of such return or deny credit. With the exception of the defective unit exchange and unopened package (within 10 days) return policies stated above, all sales are final.

Third Party Products

We offer hardware and software products from third parties for various promotions, bundles, and individual sale items. Our company does not develop and manufacture these products, and is in no way responsible for the performance or support of such products. If you need assistance using such a product, please contact the manufacturer directly. Sales of third-party products are sold under the same return policies as our other hardware products.
